Truck equipment manufacturer Taylor Wings moved to robotic welding when it expanded its facilities in order to better compete both domestically and internationally. The company, based in Rancho Cordova, Calif., installed a Lincoln Electric System 55, a dual station, dual servo driven positioning robotic cell, which was partnered with a Power Wave® 455 inverter power source. One project where the company saw great success is on its large toolboxes. Previously, welders spent 45 minutes just tacking the box. With the robotic cell, it now takes only 16 minutes to weld the entire toolbox.
